How to use flower essences

This is a very quick overview of the ways you can use flower essences for people and animals.When you order you'll get our complete guide.

	Dosage: Cats: 3-5 drops twice a day in food and/or water Bunnies: 1-2 drops. You must de-alcohol if you plan to put in a bunny's water (see below). Dogs: 3-7 drops twice a day. The amount of drops depends upon the size of the dog. Adults: 9 drops 3 times a day. For emergencies or tense situations you can use them every 15 minutes until the problem or anxiety from the problem fades. We also suggest misting (see below) Children: 3-6 drops 2-3 times a day. Amount of drops depends upon age and size of child. For emergencies or tense situations you can use them every 15 minutes until the problem or anxiety from the problem fades.
	Anoint: We'll teach you how to anoint fur and skin with drops of any flower essence.
	Crystals: Many years ago a group of us experimented with crystals to see if we could "telegraph" or "beam" flower essences to each other.  This new method worked beautifully. Learn how we do it, instructions will come with your order of flower essences or crystals.
	De-Alchohol: The teeny tiny amount of alcohol per each drop of a flower essence is generally nothing to be concerned about.  But we know that many folks do not want to consume any amount of alcohol, ever.  The handout which comes with your order teaches you how to easily and quickly "de-alcohol" as you use your flower essences or any other tincture.
	Mist: An elegant and charming way to use flower essences is to add them to a mister bottle filled with floral water creates a fragrant way to use them. 	Orally: The traditional method for using flower essences is to take them orally right out of the bottle with the dropper BUT this is only suitable for adults and older children, it is never suitable for young children, and certainly never animals (unless you use a plastic dropper).  Cats and other animals do best when flower essences are added to their food or water. Do not let the dropper touch fingers, mouths, teeth, tongues, or fall to the ground. If this happens it is not the end of the world - simply rinse the dropper with cool spring or filtered water before you put the dropper back in the bottle.
	Shelf Life: Your bottle has an expiration date printed on the label.  We have found that if the bottles were stored in a cool dark place, and that the dropper was properly cared for, that the essences can last many years past the expiration date.
	Storage: Its best to keep all of your flower essences and other tinctures in a cool dark place - like a medicine cabinet, closet, or drawer. Store them upright as the alcohol can cause the rubber at the top of the dropper to erode.
	Making your own dosage bottles with Flower Drop Faeries single essences: Your Flower Drop Faeries single essences are in "stock potency" which means you can make lots and lots of dosage bottles from that one bottle! When your ready - use a new bottle only. Please make sure the bottle was not made in China as it will have been fumigated on board the ship and will contain chemicals we believe are not fit for consumption and which will taint your remedy. Our bottles are from France and have not been fumigated. Rinse bottle first with hot water, then do a final rinse with spring or filtered water. Fill bottle 1/2 way with Brandy (a good choice is Korbel as its vibration is quite good) and 1/2 way with spring or filtered water.  Next add drops of the single flower essence(s) you have selected. We use 9 drops of each flower per one ounce bottle. We sell our single essences at "stock potency" which means you can make lots and lots of dosage bottles from that one bottle!   To make your own formulas you'll need new, clean, and empty glass dropper bottles and a label which sticks to glass.  We suggest you fill the bottle with 50% spring or filtered water and 50% brandy then add the flower essences of your choice.  We sell the same bottles we use for our formulas on the flower essences page of the website.
